to donate epidemic prevention supplies, honoring the heroes of epidemic prevention.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in January this year, Taiwan, like other countries around the world, has faced severe challenges. Countless healthcare workers have stepped up to the front lines to protect the health and safety of the public. During the pandemic, the New Taipei City Fire Department specially established a dedicated epidemic prevention team, setting up a specialized ambulance to transport patients suspected of severe infectious pneumonia for medical treatment, ensuring the safety of every citizen with unwavering commitment.
In response to this undeniable social responsibility and with the intention of providing frontline epidemic prevention personnel with more adequate supplies, on the afternoon of May 21, Zhao Wen-yu, Chairman of Kon Mon Cultural Company, Tsai Hsueh-ni, Chairman of the Tsai Hsueh-ni Charity Foundation, along with representatives from the Taiwan Women’s Federation of World Peace and Aggie Technology visited the New Taipei City Fire Department Headquarters to donate epidemic prevention supplies to the Special Search and Rescue Medical Team.
Kon Mon Cultural Company is committed to promoting the globally recognized KUMON educational method, which is implemented in 57 countries worldwide. The company hopes that every child can develop a solid academic foundation through personalized learning tailored to their abilities, equipping them with the essential skills to face future challenges. Meanwhile, the Tsai Hsueh-ni Charity Foundation, established in 1988, has long been dedicated to social welfare, educational promotion, and other charitable causes. With the spirit of giving back to society and honoring the frontline epidemic prevention personnel, Kon Mon Cultural Company and the Tsai Hsueh-ni Charity Foundation donated medical-grade face shields worth NT$100,000 to the New Taipei City Fire Department's Special Search and Rescue Medical Team. This gesture not only expresses gratitude to all the selfless individuals on the front lines during the epidemic but also aims to provide an extra layer of protection for these epidemic prevention heroes who stand firm to safeguard the citizens.
Currently, Taiwan has gone over 39 days without any local COVID-19 cases, a result of everyone’s collective efforts in epidemic prevention. With continued teamwork and determination, we believe we can overcome this challenge together, restoring a sense of security and well-being to our lives.
