Double Ninth Festival at Taipei 101: Tsai Hsueh-Ni Foundation Donates Mobility Aids to Assist Elderly Residents

On the day of the Double Ninth Festival, the Tsai Hsueh-Ni Foundation responded to the tradition of honoring the elderly by not only wishing them health and longevity but also committing to public welfare, with a particular focus on the well-being of the aging population. On October 11, the foundation donated 9 wheelchairs and 4 oxygen machines to the Huashan Welfare Social Foundation to enhance the mobility of the elderly and promote their social participation.

On the day of the event, over ten elderly individuals, who were suffering from conditions such as dependence, disability, or dementia, were invited to join a special trip to the top of Taipei 101. The elderly participants, some of whom had limited mobility, sat in newly donated wheelchairs and took the high-speed elevator with other seniors. They were thrilled to view the beautiful cityscape of Taipei from the 89th floor—many of them were visiting Taipei 101 for the first time. Their excitement was palpable. The Tsai Hsueh-Ni Foundation hopes that this initiative will inspire others to join in promoting charitable causes and further advancing social welfare.
